What brought you to Celina Police Department?
The community. The first time I took my wife up to Celina to visit before I applied, she fell in love with the historic Downtown. Previously, I worked for the Lower Makefield Township Police Department (PA) and the Mesquite Police Department.
What was the motivation behind becoming a law enforcement officer?
Every day, you are faced with new challenges, and you really get a chance to make a difference if you put in the effort.
It’s lunch time in Celina, and you haven’t eaten. What’s on the menu?
Toasted Walnut – the brisket tacos!
What’s the best part of the job?
Getting to meet new people in the community each and every day.
What’s the most memorable moment for you while on patrol?
My favorite this year was meeting my buddy, CJ, in the Creeks of Legacy, and comparing our uniforms and police cars (photo below!).
Your go-to coffee order is…
Large black cold brew.
What does a typical day off look like for you?
Training Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu, walking Titan (our Belgian Malinois), taking Spanish lessons, and hanging out with my wife.
If you had the opportunity to change someone’s perception of law enforcement, what would you say?
I would encourage them to do a couple of ride-alongs to get a better idea of the kind of work we do each day. Also, joining programs like the Citizens Police Academy is a great way to show someone what it is like to work in law enforcement.
Favorite sports team?
Philadelphia Eagles.
What TV show are you binging right now?
The Book of Boba Fett.
