Jennifer Martinez Named Grants Committee Chair

The Celina Community Police Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization managed completely by volunteers in the Celina community, is proud to announce the appointment of Celina resident Jennifer Martinez to the position of Grants Committee Chair.

In this role, Jennifer will work with the Foundation's Board of Directors to identify and apply for various grants and sponsorships, allowing the Foundation to continue building upon its mission of funding, enhancing and supporting community policing initiatives and programs here in our community.

"The Board unanimously voted to appoint Jennifer to lead the Grants applications for the Foundation. Her experience in the field, matched with her personal drive to support Celina's law enforcement community, will serve not only our Foundation, but the entire community," says Mathew Eberius, Foundation President.

Jennifer has nearly two decades of experience in grants. She began her career in New Jersey working on emergency preparedness and response grants with Post 9-11 federal funding. Jennifer also worked as a consultant and operations associate for a private company that assisted first responders in obtaining grants for staff, equipment, training, and wellness. She was a project manager for a non-profit, working specifically on a maternal health care initiatives project. At the conclusion of that project, Jennifer continued to work on grants for a county health department that focused on youth violence prevention. At present, she works as a director on grants for higher education.

Jennifer holds a Master's Degree in Public Health, with a focus on Community Health Education from Hunter College – City University of New York and a Bachelors Degree in Radiological Sciences and Health Care Administration from Manhattan College.

Although she will always be a “Jersey Girl,” she is very excited to be here in Texas and the City of Celina! She currently resides in town with her husband, Detective Marcus Martinez, and their two children. You can usually find her at an ice hockey rink cheering on her son or visiting her daughter, who just started her first year at Baylor University.

To reach Jennifer, you can send an email to Jennifer@CelinaPoliceFoundation.org.
