National Night Out This Week!

Celebrate your neighborhood and gather together with neighbors at this year's National Night Out in Celina, celebrated on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

This year, the Celina Community Police Foundation has partnered with Celina Police Department to help raise funds for the event, provide giveaways and help promote the importance of community policing.

"NNO is so important to our community because it encourages neighbors to meet one another and build long-lasting connections. A well-connected neighborhood can help reduce crime and overall, be more visible and vigilant. Not only that, but NNO brings law enforcement to your neighborhood block party in a non-confrontational means, allowing kids and adults to meet the officers and learn more about them from a human level," according to Mathew Eberius, President of the Foundation.

The Foundation was instrumental in bringing in over $10,000 of sponsorship and donations to the National Night Out fund, which allowed Celina Police Department to not only host their annual downtown block party but provides for backpacks, t-shirts and other giveaways that help promote a relationship with law enforcement in Celina.

Is your neighborhood hosting an NNO Block Party? Send us your photos! You can send your photos to NNO@CelinaPoliceFoundation.org and we'll add them to our NNO Photo Album on social media.
